10/31/2023 0 Comments Fun employee break room ideasSome sofas can turn into benches by removing a few cushions. Transformable tables can turn from small, one- or two-person tables into a table large enough for team collaboration in one motion. Incorporating multipurpose furniture allows for both comfort and function. Flexible furniture, also known as transformable furniture, allows for new areas to be designed within a space. Making the break room a flexible space is a design trend that’s hitting every office building and even some homes. Add multiple sizes of tables and chairs for comfort and collaboration with other workers. Creating a space that’s open and comfortable will attract employees to the game area. Designate a corner to board games, card games, or even puzzles. If that isn’t a realistic option - or doesn’t fit the work culture - simplify this idea to encourage connection and fun without extravagance. Design a space in a break room separate from any dining areas, outfitted with games like foosball, ping pong, or billiards. What employee wouldn’t love an entire game room in their office building’s break room? Providing an opportunity for employees to get their minds off work, even for a short game of pool, can boost productivity and break room ratings. Make room for a few booths and bar-style seating for any type of break room need. Not every employee will sit around a table for a complete meal every time they take a break, so create accommodations for various sized groups. Always make sure there are ample tables and dining opportunities available for employees.Īlso, designers should consider multiple modes of sitting. Some major offices have even installed full-on cafeterias or snack stations to accommodate employees.Īrchitects may not be in charge of what amenities companies offer, but they can make these food and drink experiences more enjoyable through design. Coffee is the lifeblood of many employees, so designers could add a small coffee bar to accommodate gathering around a common enjoyment. Allowing Snacks and Keeping the Coffee Flowingīreaks are often associated with food and drink. Add some patio furniture and circular tables to enhance the area, and plant trees and flowers to keep the space aesthetically beautiful. A great design option would be to create a balcony, terrace, or other outdoor space for employees to take a break, allowing for more collaboration between employees. A dose of sunlight and plant life can do wonders for productivity between worktimes - and contribute to good air quality to boot.Ĭonsider creating outdoor alternatives for breaks that can revitalize employees. As a result, employees who have been able to go back to work are far apart and may seem like they can’t interact with other employees.Ī global health crisis is one way to shed light on the value of fresh air, but the truth is, biophilic design has been a growing trend for a long time. In the past year, many employers have had to redesign their workspace and break rooms to meet social distancing standards in light of the pandemic. 10/31/2023 0 Comments Games like dominions 5TL DR: I put more hours in Civ than Dominions, but if you are willing to look past unintuitive controls and somewhat obscure mechanics, you will really enjoy the excellent combat of the latter in all of its complexity.Ĭiv 5 is a classical civ, you explore land, settle cities, trade/fight against AI civs, but with Civ 5, the civ mechanics were condensed into fewer cities, fewer, but more meaningful techs (I think?) and going from stacks into one unit per tile with more tactical deterministic combat. I guess one thing to keep in mind is that Dominions is a fantasy game, while Civ features historical people, units, and ideas. The military strategy is therefore more about composition, placement, and tech rushing. In contrast, units in Civ are basically the same for all factions. Both also push you to use similar strategies when playing a specific faction, although I feel that push more strongly in Dominions, just because the unit roster of certain factions makes some builds unfeasible and others op, as each faction has totally unique units with certain strengths and weaknesses. Both games have lots of mods, custom maps, and custom factions. Dominions has a bit of an odd control scheme and can be hard to fully understand without a good tutorial, but has huge amounts of replayability. Personally I have more hours in Civ, as it was a lot more approachable imo (because I had previous experience with the series). Thanks for the help everyone.Ģ very different games. I might get Dominions 5 down the line if I'm still interested and have more free time, but for now I'll be getting Civ 5. While I don't mind learning how to play dominions, I don't think now is the best time to do that. While I find Dominions 5 to be more interesting, I think I'll enjoy Civ 5 more because of it's simplicity and better SP experience. Which one is the better option?Īfter reading all the replies and thinking it through, I think I'm gonna be going with Civ 5. I'm prefer playing with the AI in SP and don't care about MP. But I like the fact that I can make the story play out differently. I always enjoy the same playthrough, usually I choose something different if the consequences are minor, but if it has major consequences I basically always make the same choice. Unrelated to 4x, but when I play an RPG with choices and consequences, the game mostly plays out the same. For civilization 5 because there are more options to play the game other than war and I kinda like the fog of war feature if that's what it's called. I'm interested in dominions 5 because of the focus on the war aspect, the many ways to play in the war, and I've been interested in total war lately. I know that they're different types of 4x. It's daunting but I wouldn't mind learning a bit if it means I'll have more fun. I've heard that dominions 5 is more complicated and civilization 5 is more simple. I'm new to the 4x genre and I've tried civilization 3 but it didn't click for me. I've been thinking about buying 1 of those 2 games but I'm having a hard time choosing. Created by /u/Kryogenetics, it's a collage of some of the 4X genre's greatest games: Endless Legend, Civilization, Endless Space and Galactic Civilizations.

Both Hiei and Gōki were happy with the terms and the heist was on. On the condition he got to keep the mirror and neither Hiei or Gōki interfered in his or his mother's lives after the heist, Kurama agreed. Kurama no longer had any desire for such a capper, until Hiei pointed out they would each take one treasure of their choice from the vault, on that list was the Forlorn Hope - a mystical hand-held mirror Kurama had great need of. In addition to a sadistic demon named Gōki as the muscle of the job, Hiei had managed to track down Kurama and wanted the great Yoko-Kurama, who had first-hand experience stealing from King Enma's vault in the past as his stealth expert. Hiei, was planning a theft of King Enma's vault while he was away and wanted a small efficient crew for the heist. One night, Shūichi was contacted by a demon named Hiei. He did not want to leave until she was recovered, but as the nerve damage stuck with her for well over a decade, Kurama spent that time growing attached to her, and viewing her as a traditional mother. Shiori saw Shūichi fall and went to save him. While trying to get some treats, Shūchi fell. Shortly after growing out of his toddler stage, he was fully aware of who he was, where he was, what had happened, and how to sneak away, however, something happened in Shūichi's toddler years. Though Shūichi was aware of his past life, he was still possessing a human brain and took a few years of infancy to become fully sentient. Kurama possessed the fetus gestating inside Shiori to reconstitute as a new body. Kurama sought out a newly pregnant human female, the one he happened upon first was named Shiori Minamino. Yoko Kurama was gravily injured and could not make it back to Demon World, so he slipped down to human world to lose his pursuers, in an effort to both get a chance to recover and remain unnoticed even after he was recovered, Kurama broke down what was left of his physical form and converted it to raw energy to carry with his soul.
